This morning, my alarm clock decided to act up and didn’t go off at all. By the time I woke up, the sun was already shining directly on my face, and for a split second, I thought the end of the world had come. While rushing to brush my teeth, I casually checked my phone and saw @0xMantleCN’s announcement about USDT0 going live. Suddenly, all my panic just disappeared.
Thinking about it now, it’s kind of funny. I was 30 minutes late, but the stablecoin on-chain was already up and running.
Some of you might not know what this means yet. To put it simply: stablecoins in the Mantle ecosystem can now achieve true "frictionless cross-chain flow."
USDT0 is the all-chain version of native USDT. No wrapping needed, no worries about liquidity fragmentation, and no extra friction costs. Running on Mantle means faster speeds, lower costs, and stronger security—a direct boost for DeFi.
Here’s why this upgrade is so critical for the Mantle ecosystem:
Smoother cross-chain USDT transfers: Seamless settlements across different EVM chains, no more delays or detours.
Stronger DeFi building capabilities: Native support for all-chain stablecoins, paving the way for next-gen financial applications.
Preparation for RWA and institutional-grade applications: Mantle’s infrastructure is already fast, cheap, and scalable, and this upgrade fills in a key missing piece.
What’s even more noteworthy is the global liquidity support from @Bybit_Official behind this, making Mantle the first network driven by an exchange ecosystem that can truly handle cross-border, frictionless stablecoin transfers. This has huge implications for on-chain finance and RWA scenarios in the future.
For those interested in the next phase of stablecoins and the RWA ecosystem, this is definitely worth keeping an eye on. Mantle’s potential is being realized step by step.
