lol @ameensol don’t forget large company holiday parties… I went to a BigTechCo holiday party once, where I estimated the single night cost to be at the scale of our (@protocollabs) initial funding rounds. It was stomach turning, specially because of how hard raising had been. 😮‍💨 But then again, divided by the attendees, the cost I estimated was in the 100-1,000/pp range and clearly “made perfect rational sense”. 🙄 But I just couldn’t silence the “you could have funded world-changing startups instead of this!!!1!wtfbbq!!” feeling. 😖 I guess maybe this is more a statement of how cheap it is to create world changing things these days!! 🤩🚀 (and how expensive land and food have stayed… 🧐)
