One thing to say is that @ jessepollak was a bit surprised when they sent the MEME coin Jesse. Fortunately, they did not follow BN's example in the name of community or engage in unexpected artistic manipulation. However, in essence, they all came to the same end by using MEME's attention grabbing effect to attract traffic to their own products.
But the problem is that this product, which relies solely on MEME for drainage, is thriving. BN has already conducted a wave of experiments through Alpha that lack sustainability. In the short term, it can indeed boost daily activity and increase trading volume, but once the heat subsides, it becomes a mess.
Why is Base going back to the old path at this time? Should we follow the trend and play like a cat and draw a tiger, or should we use more clever gameplay to prove ourselves and beat him up? It's all possible, it's always a way of exploring by embracing the community.
It's just puzzling, since we're going to issue MEME coins, why not give the x402 narrative support of the Base ecosystem a hand?
Let everyone download the @ baseapp and use the x402 protocol to transfer funds and rewards to Jesse's address, and then automatically receive Jesse's airdrop. The MEME narrative still forms, but there is an additional wave of x402 narrative to help creators imagine the economic space. (I feel that the model of using Zora protocol to cashback transaction fees is still a bit weak.)
