[ZachXBT: Warren's accusation of WLFI fundraising involving illegal funds 'doesn't hold water,' accounting for only 0.0018%] 'On-chain detective' ZachXBT posted on X platform stating that Elizabeth Warren, the lead Democrat on the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, claimed that $10,000 of illegal funds were involved in the fundraising process of the Trump family's crypto project World Liberty Financial (WLFI). However, WLFI's token sales amounted to $550 million, making the proportion only 0.0018%. ZachXBT compared this to Warren's claim of being Native American, while tests showed she only has 0.195% Native American ancestry. ZachXBT added that he does not hold WLFI tokens nor participated in the token sales, pointing out the issue because regulators are attempting to use baseless 'illegal funds accusations' to attack the crypto industry. If the crackdown on WLFI succeeds, the next target could be Hyperliquid.
