Perpetual trading is strong, but at its core, it's just a single product. So why is edgeX launching V2? V1 only had perpetual trading, but perpetual trading isn't all of DeFi. If you rely on just one product to compete in the entire market, the ceiling for perpetual DEXs is already set. V2 is here to break that ceiling. V2 = turning edgeX from a 'product' into a 'platform.' Here’s how I understand their reason for doing V2: 1. Expanding the boundaries: turning a single product into a financial ecosystem. When the underlying modules are opened up, the more people use the modules, the more products will emerge, and the more traffic will flow in. What started as one store eventually becomes an entire street. 2. The most practical reason: more revenue. Whether edgeX earns from module fees, liquidity, transaction fees, etc., as long as someone builds a financial product on top of it, edgeX will naturally generate income. Compared to relying solely on perpetual contract trading fees, this is relatively more stable. 3. Web3 products evolve too fast. Often, before you even fully understand one thing, something new has already come out. Products may go out of style, but infrastructure is fundamental. When you open up the framework, it allows more people to do more things on this chain. @edgeX_exchange @edgeXMaru edgeX MARU MARU DeFi
