[Pump.fun Launches Mayhem Mode, Allowing AI Agents to Automatically Participate in New Token Bidding to Boost Early Trading Volume] According to Cryptopolitan, Pump.fun has announced the launch of an experimental Mayhem mode, which allows AI agents to participate in trading newly issued tokens. This automated bidding approach marks a new breakthrough for both AI agents and meme tokens, as most agents previously relied on human assistance. Pump.fun stated that this mode aims to increase early trading volume by introducing AI agents, but it has not explicitly disclosed the agents involved, leaving the community to discover them through related documentation. Unlike before, the AI agents will not create new tokens this time. Token creators on Pump.fun must opt for the Mayhem mode before issuance. This mode will not apply to existing tokens on Pump.fun's bonding curve or tokens that have already graduated. AI agents will mint an additional 1 billion tokens for each meme token, bringing the total supply to 2 billion tokens. The AI agents will then randomly use these tokens for trading, which will increase initial trading risks and volatility. After a 24-hour period, any unsold tokens and tokens sent to the AI agents' wallets during this time will be burned, without affecting their buying and selling decisions. The AI agents may randomly sell more tokens, potentially depleting the bonding curve and preventing human traders from selling. Given the prevalence of front-running bots, these AI agents are likely to primarily compete with simple trading bots.
