[Bitcoin Rewards App Lolli Acquires Browser Extension Slice to Accelerate Adoption of the Lightning Network] According to The Block, Bitcoin rewards app Lolli has acquired the browser extension Slice, which allows users to earn BTC while browsing the web. Earlier this summer, Lolli was acquired by Bitcoin infrastructure company Thesis (acquisition amount undisclosed), and this acquisition follows shortly after. The merger will help enhance Lolli users' earning potential. Currently, users can earn Bitcoin rewards by shopping online through partnered retailers. Slice, on the other hand, rewards users for "passive" online activities such as scrolling through pages and streaming content. Notably, this acquisition will also accelerate Lolli's adoption of the Lightning Network, enabling withdrawal functionality on the Layer 2 network. Prior to the acquisition, Lolli raised $8 million in a Series B funding round led by Bitkraft Ventures in 2023, bringing its total funding to over $28 million.
