PING and Uniswap V4 LP
PING from the x402 protocol has been in the LP pool on Base chain’s Uniswap V4 for 3 hours, currently showing an ROI of 35%.
An average of 12% per hour—definitely not bad.
Here are my thoughts:
1. Why not buy spot tokens instead of doing LP? After all, LP for skyrocketing tokens can actually be a loss.
Answer: The screenshot explains it—mainly because I didn’t do enough research, so I wasn’t confident.
2. Why is the net profit so low?
Answer: The ETH on-chain was stored in AAVE. I originally planned to withdraw it but gave up. So I sold my PEPE holdings, bridged it to Base, and did LP instead
3. PING price trend?
Answer: Feels super classic.
Referencing a post I made last year, MEME tokens tend to hit a wall every 5M in market cap. They usually experience a dump, then pump again.
This PING is textbook-level behavior.
At 10M, 15M, 20M, 25M, 30M, and 40M, there’s always a dump followed by a pump.
4. What’s your outlook for the future?
Answer: No idea. If I had that level of skill, I’d already be rich trading MEME tokens instead of messing around with this stuff every day.
Maybe take a look at @奶子哥 (Milk Bro)—heard he got in early with 1% of his portfolio. If this project explodes later, a wave of wealth isn’t out of the question.
5. How’s the Uniswap LP experience?
Answer: Using it while holding my nose—it’s awful. Can the foundation send a couple of engineers to learn from Meteora?
With such a terrible UI, how do you expect people to add liquidity to pools?
