[StarkWare CEO: 'Enterprise Chains' Will Ultimately Fail If They Reject Cryptocurrency Principles]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, StarkWare co-founder and CEO Eli Ben-Sasson stated that blockchains created and controlled by enterprises (so-called 'enterprise chains') will eventually fade away because users will not be willing to use chains controlled by centralized entities.
In a post on the X platform (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Ben-Sasson reinforced his stance, saying: 'Enterprise chains' cannot endure because they contradict one of the core principles of blockchain — the requirement to 'shed its identity as a centralized entity.'
He pointed out: 'The essence of blockchain lies in being a system free from centralized entities. Achieving this comes at a cost: it is an extremely complex technology, not only difficult to develop but also challenging to use. Even if we leverage account abstraction (AA) technology to create a more streamlined user experience (UX), the underlying technology remains highly intricate.'
