Most project teams in the market right now just jump on whatever trend is hot, creating products for that sector without ever considering if anyone will actually use them. They hype things up, package the product, make big promises, fake some funding rounds, throw out airdrops to pump the numbers— but the tech and product itself? Zero innovation. As soon as they hit the market, they start milking retail investors. How do you avoid getting scammed by these kinds of projects? Go straight to the leaders in the sector. Compare their products side by side. If it’s just the same thing with a new team and a fresh coat of paint, ignore it. This alone will help you avoid most of the risks. Same goes for meme projects— those that ride trends, keywords, or replies to stay relevant. Stretch out the timeline, and almost all of them go to zero. No exceptions. Believe it or not, projects that meet certain criteria are basically doomed to hit zero the moment they launch. For these kinds of projects, if there’s hype, maybe play a quick short-term trade and get out. If there’s no hype, don’t even touch them. Stick to avoiding these red flags, filter out these types of projects, and what’s left will generally be of higher quality.
