Recently, I have been sorting out my investment ideas in the cryptocurrency market and have found that it is not just a matter of numbers and strategies, but also a deep analysis of my self-awareness. ​ Cryptocurrency investment allocation is essentially a highly personalized and individualized behavior, where each person's goals, risk preferences, and level of understanding of the blockchain ecosystem are different. ​ I entered the industry in 2017 and have read a lot about cryptocurrency investment in the past, including mainstream spot long-term holdings, contract arbitrage, DeFi liquidity mining, and more. Previously, I also learned many methods and concepts, putting all of this knowledge into my stomach, but I did not fully digest it and lacked a match with my own understanding of the cryptocurrency market and risk tolerance. ​ So, for the past month, I have been thinking: what kind of cryptocurrency configuration truly suits me? ​ Cryptocurrency investment involves many dimensions: returns, risks, holding experience But there is nothing in the market that requires high returns, zero risk, and easy holding, especially since cryptocurrencies are more volatile, every decision requires more careful weighing. ​ Returning to myself, I ask myself: What do I value the most? What do I want to achieve through cryptocurrency investment? ​ Clear objective: prioritize cash flow After sorting it out, I found that maximizing the return on cryptocurrency investment is not the primary goal for me at present. I value the passive cash flow brought by investment more. ​ To put it bluntly, currently I am engaged in traditional finance and hotel investment in China, and my main income is still provided by traditional businesses. I hope to achieve a monthly six figure passive cash flow through passive returns from cryptocurrency investments, such as mainstream coin investments, pledged dividends, capital guaranteed wealth management, and top DeFi protocols. This way, even in the worst-case scenario, such as during a downturn in the market, I can maintain a sense of peace of mind and confidence. ​ Secondly, it is the general logic of cryptocurrency investment returns - by holding high-quality assets for a long time, enjoying higher returns brought by industry growth. ​ Approach: Prioritize securing the currently anchored high cash flow cryptocurrency investment targets with funds and energy. ​ Holding for a longer period of time is a tedious task, so I derived my trading strategy to split investments on the left and right sides I divide cryptocurrency investments into two categories: 1. Left side investment: Value investment type (mainly mainstream currency spot) Method: In the event of a market downturn, it is recommended to invest regularly for a long period of time (2-5 years), relying on the long-term value growth and passive returns of the underlying asset, with relatively controllable risks. ​ Example: Mainstream cryptocurrency spot (BTC, ETH/sol/link). In addition, after the fixed investment plan is formulated, I will use the idle funds for principal guaranteed financial management, which will account for about 7% in a year. Characteristics: Emphasis on financial security, long-term accumulation, strong ability to resist market fluctuations. ​ 2. Right side investment: investment models, short-term opportunities (cryptocurrency derivative opportunities) Method: Low risk arbitrage is the main approach, with a short operation cycle (several days to several weeks) and a strong sense of experience. ​ Examples: New coin issuance, cross exchange spot arbitrage, low leverage contract hedging. ​ Characteristics: Obvious positive feedback, quick realization of short-term returns, high sense of joy, and enhanced investment happiness. ​ 3. The overall idea is: After removing high cash flow encrypted positions (such as pledged targets), the remaining funds are allocated to left and right side trading. ​ On the left side: Keep existing mainstream spot positions and continue to invest in high-quality track tokens with small amounts; ​ On the right side: Maintain the existing new coin issuance quota and wait for low-risk arbitrage opportunities (such as cross chain asset price difference windows/or hair raising projects). ​ Operation arrangement 1. Cash flow investment: Focus on existing high passive return targets (such as ETH staking and top platform stablecoin wealth management), and continuously observe the stability of returns and protocol security. ​ 2. Value investment (left side): Mainstream spot stocks: BTC, ETH, SOL, LINK maintain small positions after taking profits to feel the market trend, while high-quality track tokens (such as AI+Web3, RWA concept) continue to invest in small amounts during market downturns. ​ Long term pledge portfolio: Adhere to long-term holding and do not pursue short-term opportunities. At present, if the proportion of stable currency is too large, the market will call back the base note position to the mainstream spot pledge. ​ 3. Arbitrage investment (on the right): New coin issuance/withdrawal will retain the current participation limit, without increasing positions, and priority will be given to projects with physical implementation. ​ Small capital should first follow the cryptocurrency sector's rotation strategy (track rotation) and not blindly chase high prices. ​ Other short-term speculative opportunities (such as MEME coin speculation and high leverage contracts) will not be participated in temporarily. ​ 4. Idle funds: The main issue is the cryptocurrency funds awaiting allocation. We will temporarily refrain from direct operations and wait for market trend opportunities. ​ Note: The foundation of active money (daily reserve funds, mainly in stablecoins) and guaranteed money (low-risk stablecoin wealth management) accounts remains unchanged, referring to the personalized parts of stable money (medium low risk pledge) and long-term money (long-term spot). ​ Emotional management In the process of investing in cryptocurrencies, I also experience emotional fluctuations (emo), especially when I see others relying on contracts to double and new currencies skyrocketing. The cryptocurrency market fluctuates more, and this emotion becomes even stronger. ​ In the face of this situation, you can ask yourself: What kind of opportunity is this in the cryptocurrency industry? Is it contract speculation, new currency speculation, or long-term returns from spot trading? ​ Is my position sufficient under this opportunity type? If it's not enough, then we need to work hard to earn the principal instead of blindly adding leverage. ​ Is this within my ability circle? For example, if I am not good at contract operations, then a surge in contracts is not my opportunity. Don't envy the achievements of others' ability circles. ​ Also, stay sensitive and see what opportunities there are for information asymmetry in the cryptocurrency market (such as new events). You can participate and learn in small amounts to accumulate experience and control risks. ​ By asking oneself, maintain a calm mindset and reduce anxiety. ​ Clarify one's boundaries and abilities, and encourage rational investment behavior in the cryptocurrency industry. ​ Future focus In the coming years, important principles: Focus on concentration: Clearly allocate one's funds in spot, pledge, and arbitrage to avoid being disturbed by market noise. ​ Output driven input: Accumulate experience through cryptocurrency trading, while sharing spot allocation and staking strategies with others to deepen understanding through sharing. ​ Strengthening internal cultivation: Focusing on self cultivation in the field of encryption, accumulating industry knowledge (such as on chain analysis, protocol mechanisms) and resources (such as high-quality community connections), and preparing for greater opportunities in the future (such as bull markets). ​ Thank you!!
