[Institutions Generally Predict U.S. Government Shutdown to Last at Least 10 Days, October 15 as a Key Date]
BlockBeats News, October 9: Wall Street institutions have provided the following analysis regarding the duration of the U.S. government shutdown:
Morgan Stanley: U.S. Treasury options indicate that the government shutdown, which began on October 1, will last at least 10 days, with a maximum duration of 29 days.
Goldman Sachs: It is unlikely that the U.S. government shutdown will extend beyond October 15, the military payday. If the shutdown continues at that point, active-duty military personnel will not receive their salaries, which has never been allowed to happen.
Meanwhile, data from the prediction platform Polymarket shows that the market believes there is an 85% chance the U.S. government shutdown will end after October 15, and a 76% chance that Congress will pass a spending bill by the end of October. (Jin10)
