Crypto Misconception #2: I want to report him! I’m afraid he’ll make money! From a metaphysical perspective, forcibly interfering with others’ karma can easily affect yourself. From a moral standpoint, being open and straightforward makes it easier to reap rewards. The first time I got reported was during L0. A guy from Shenzhen dug up over 30 of my old accounts and was the first to report me. Then a foreigner found over 40 accounts, including those 30. In the end, L0 issued witch-hunt rewards, but they went to the foreigner, while the Shenzhen guy got nothing. Meanwhile, all my other 700+ accounts survived. The second time I got reported was during avail. I’m never the type to pop champagne early. Initially, avail’s rewards were small, but thanks to the community’s efforts, the rewards for each account doubled. I left a comment to the official team saying everyone’s rewards doubled, and everyone was happy. Then someone reported me, claiming that one-tenth of the accounts were mine... but the official team completely ignored them. My collaboration partner also had one-sixth of the accounts and got their airdrop too. But now, farming on-chain has really fallen off. The third time I got reported was during backpack, and this one was even funnier. The airdrop hadn’t even been distributed yet. Filling in my referral code could significantly lower costs, and it couldn’t be unlinked, nor did it harm anyone’s interests. Yet someone still reported me. For perp, I’m definitely getting my rewards, and my lighter is ranked first, while backpack is only fourth. I’m still scoring steadily at low cost. Plus, I need to post more promotional tweets for backpack to hype it up. Everyone can still happily use my backpack code. Last time, there was even a small fry who reported me for boundless. I thought, “You’re reporting me? Then I’ll just go all in.” During my days off, I spent three full days energetically doing KYC, and boundless ended up giving me a big reward... Honestly, in the crypto space, straightforward people tend to earn more than petty ones. If you’re reporting others because they’re earning more and you’re earning less, I won’t say much about that. But if it’s purely out of malice, purely because you’re afraid others will make money, I think you probably won’t make much yourself. People who fear others making money can’t grow the pie. Why not work together to make the pie bigger for everyone?
