[Trump Again Suggests Canada Should Become the '51st State'] According to a report by Jinse Finance, U.S. President Trump once again stated that Canada should become part of the United States—a proposal that has been strongly rejected and condemned by Canadian leaders. Trump told senior military officials that a few weeks ago, Canadian officials had called him to request participation in the 'Golden Dome' missile defense system currently being developed by the U.S. government. Trump said, 'At the time, I said, "Well, why don’t you just join our country? If you become the 51st state, you can get all of this for free."'
