Plasma XPL mining rewards have pretty much stabilized. Currently, subsidies are around 20-40%. Free money across the network! Here are a few places I think are worth checking out
1. Aave (APR 30%) – The simplest and most flexible option. Just lend. Note that it requires no USDe or USDT0 debt, and stablecoin looping is not allowed.
2. Fluid (APR 30%) – Second only to Aave in capacity. The advantage is that the ETH Vault isn’t full yet, so you can still get around 8%.
3. Plasma Vault (APR 40%) – This one is run by the official team. It offers the highest yield and the largest capacity, but withdrawals have a cooldown period.
These three are suitable for almost everyone. If these get too crowded and the yields drop, you can check out Euler, Balancer, or Curve. Their current yields are also around 30-40%, but the total incentives are lower, and the capacity is smaller.
For something more advanced, there’s Fluid’s Smart Collateral. It allows leveraged yields, but it’s currently maxed out. As soon as the quota opens, it fills up quickly. The capacity is limited, so you need to have a good understanding of Fluid. If you want to keep things simple, just lend directly.
Lastly, if you want to provide liquidity for XPL’s 2-pool LP, the incentivized options are Uniswap and Balancer, with APRs at 140% and 260%, respectively.
Rewards are distributed via merkl. Currently, the rewards sent to merkl follow a 7-day cycle. So, the yield after 7 days will depend on whether Plasma continues to send tokens to merkl in the next phase and how many tokens are sent. This will need to be recalculated.
