There’s more and more U in the market now, but the trend... so no one really uses the amount of U to judge market liquidity anymore. There are plenty of these kinds of useless indicators and information (they seem like they might be helpful but are actually not), distracting a lot of people and interfering with decision-making. Investing is all about filtering out the noise—indicators don’t need to be many, just a few precise ones to make decisions easier.
