Most people see the world like a Jin Yong martial arts novel: The most advanced martial arts have a secret manual. As long as you learn the Nine Yang Manual, you can become Zhang Wuji. They believe Buffett achieved success because of some untold secret. They believe emperors are born of dragons, and gods and Buddhas are radiant and golden. They believe that if they just pray to the gods and Buddhas, the divine will lend a hand, and they’ll escape suffering, ace their exams, turn misfortune into blessings, or strike it rich overnight. But they refuse to believe that Buffett’s so-called “untold secret” is actually just simple common sense, and he’s never hidden it (the photo shows him deliberately posing—people think there’s some secret, so he pretends to reveal the “key to investing”). They refuse to believe that the Buddha isn’t radiant and golden—he was just a person who begged for food, washed his feet, sat under a tree, and spoke like any ordinary person. The reason they became “that person” is because they truly believed in what they said, and every action, every word, was completely aligned with their beliefs. There’s no ultimate martial art, no investment secret, and the Buddha doesn’t have time to help you fulfill your dreams. What exists in this world is simply using common sense, staying grounded, living well, doing what you love, doing the right things, and improving day by day. #KeepItReal #LifeLessons
