Looking at my total earnings on Alpha in August, I’m honestly feeling like I can’t keep going. Thankfully, I’ve started using limit buy orders now, which has cut my daily losses by more than half. This at least helps me hang in there a bit longer, otherwise making just $50 net profit a month is really hard to sustain. Even though it doesn’t take up much of my time, the returns are just too low. Plus, I always claim the priority rewards as long as the value exceeds $50, but the amount I could claim in August was way too little. And as for the non-priority rewards, it’s been ages since anything extraordinary has shown up. I took a quick look—not too carefully—but most of the first-come, first-served rewards have been steadily losing value. Honestly, it feels like Alpha is just a platform for offloading stuff. I’ll give it another month in September. If my losses are halved but my income still doesn’t improve, then I might just call it quits.
