According to a report by Golden Finance, on the 11th local time, according to the Financial Times, in order to obtain a chip export license, American chip manufacturers Nvidia and AMD have reached a special agreement with the Trump administration. The two companies have agreed to hand over 15% of the chip revenue specially supplied to China to the US government in exchange for export licenses for related products. The Financial Times reported that according to an anonymous official in the United States, under the agreement, Nvidia will contribute 15% of its H20 chip sales revenue in China, and AMD has agreed to contribute the same proportion of sales revenue for MI308 chips. Insiders, including a US official, revealed to the newspaper that the two companies agreed to the financial arrangements mentioned above in order to obtain the export license granted by the US government to China. Insiders say that the Trump administration has not yet decided how to use the funds. It is reported that the US Department of Commerce has started issuing export licenses to the above-mentioned enterprises for the Chinese market. In response to this, Nvidia stated that we comply with the rules set by the US government for our participation in the global market and will continue to provide services to as many customers as possible within the scope of the rules. However, AMD has not yet made any response.
