When you own a home it is meant to be a place of joy and security for your family. For a long time the people of Eden Park in St Mary did not have that sense of security and peace of mind. They had homes but no titles; they had a community but no amenities. Yesterday we started to change that when we presented the homeowners with Certificates of Allotment so they can unlock the value of their homes. When you’re building with people in mind, you create the foundation for a better life. After years without the essential amenities that make life pleasant and dignified, Eden Park can now look forward to good roads, proper drainage, reliable water, and a safer, more connected community under the Eden Park Infrastructure Project. Across Jamaica, we are working to bring lasting development to communities that have waited too long. Because we believe every Jamaican deserves to live in comfort, convenience, and pride. This uplifting project is being implemented through the Housing Agency of Jamaica which is undertaking numerous housing developments across our country to make more houses, in more beautiful communities, available to more Jamaicans. A government that cares builds not just for today, but for generations, and we are that government.
