'Over limit iteration' as a 'craft' to solve underlying paradoxes
The underlying paradox can often be unified in higher-level cognition, and the key to achieving this higher-level cognition lies precisely in a "craft" called "over limit iteration". This kind of "craftsmanship" is not simply repetition, but an infinite process that transcends limitations and constantly advances, involving the thinking and processing of infinite levels.
Alan Turing profoundly expounded on this type of 'craftsmanship' in his groundbreaking book 'Systems of Logic Based on Ordinals'. He explores how to use ordinal numbers (a mathematical concept used to measure infinite size) to construct stronger logical systems to address certain undecidability issues revealed by G ö del's incompleteness theorem. Turing's theoretical attempt sought to unify and solve underlying paradoxes at a higher logical level by introducing the concept of transcending finite steps.
Similarly, when designing Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto cleverly utilized the "craftsmanship" of "over limit iteration" to solve the trust paradox and dual payment problem of the traditional financial system. The "longest chain principle" of Bitcoin is a typical "over limit iteration" technique. It establishes and maintains value consensus and authenticity of transactions in a trustless environment.
Nature is the objective carrier of truth, and its complexity contains infinite truth. The pursuit of truth by humans is not simply the discovery of existing facts, but rather a practice of creating a "truth" that converges with nature in infinite iterations of extreme poverty. Although calculus can solve first-order infinity, higher levels of infinity (such as transcendental numbers, different magnitudes of infinity in set theory) and deeper complexity still exist, inspiring humans to constantly surpass existing cognitive frameworks and approach deeper truths in endless exploration. This is an endless cognitive cycle, where each breakthrough represents a deeper iteration and understanding of truth.
