World class physics narrative - DePIN
Rather than changing the world, it's better to change the lives of ordinary people
Dabba @ DabbaNetwork is one of the projects that we have been tracking
In fact, both DePIN and Pai Coin are essentially helping the people. Although the two are unrelated, their logic is similar.
Dabba is a DePIN project represented in India, rooted in second - and third tier towns and suburban areas, aiming to solve the last mile connectivity problem
Since more than 50% of India's population lacks WiFi, Dabba's mesh network and hosting deployment model enables ordinary people to enjoy Internet services at a lower price.
The goal of Paicoin is to lower the participation threshold through mining on mobile devices, allowing ordinary users to also participate in the blockchain ecosystem. Currently, it has tens of millions of users, and its peak active volume is estimated to be even stronger than Ethereum.
The commonality between the two
Reduce the control of centralized entities such as traditional ISPs or financial institutions, giving users more participation rights and revenue opportunities.
The difference between the two
Dabba focuses on physical infrastructure such as WiFi networks, while Paicoin is a pure digital currency aimed at serving as a medium for payments and transactions.
Dabba's DBT is driven by usage, such as data consumption triggering destruction, while Pi tokens from Paicoin are more based on community participation and future ecological applications.
Apart from the consistency in user logic, the two directions are completely different.
Always at the forefront of demand
I strongly agree with what Dabba is doing. In fact, the Indian people have a greater demand for the internet.
India is the second largest telecommunications market in the world
Having over 800 million mobile users, with an average monthly data consumption of 30-40GB, but broadband or WiFi coverage is less than 5%.
50% of the broadband is controlled by Airtel and Gao, two telecom giants, and the rest is provided by about 150000 to 300000 local cable operators (LCOs), indicating that the Indian Internet market has been partially decentralized.
The last mile connection between rural and suburban areas is severely lacking, and traditional telecommunications companies ignore these areas due to high costs.
So there are over 60 million people in India who are still not connected to the internet, and the digital divide is quite significant.
Not only do we need Dabba network services, but we also need to make money through Dabba Lite hotspots.
Global users can purchase Dabba Lite hotspot for $199 device+$100 setup fee, deployed by LCOs in India, and earn DBTT tokens daily.
There are a total of 20000 creation rewards, unlocked at a rate of 100 DBT per day and fully released in 200 days, suitable for ordinary people seeking passive income.
Until May 2025, Dabba will have 4760 hotspots, serve 91k+devices, and increase data consumption by 500%
This data growth exceeded my expectations and indirectly indicates that the strategy of sprouting in India is accurate and reasonable.
I will continue to track any project that truly involves doing something.
