The Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) shouldn't be slept on, especially for banking and capital market use cases 👀 CRE is the new architecture of the @Chainlink platform that allows for the creation of programmable offchain workflows that can orchestrate activity between any blockchain and any existing system Rather than having one monolithic oracle network that does everything, you have a collection of oracle networks that offer specific capabilities (e.g., fetch API, generate consensus, write to chain, etc) that can be combined in a customized manner to meet specific use case requirements This flexibility provides individual developers and organizations the ability to quickly create advanced applications that span multiple chains and connect to various external systems In this case, CRE connected J.P. Morgan's permissioned payments blockchain Kinexys to the Ondo Chain testnet to facilitate a cross-chain DvP transactions involving a tokenized U.S. Treasury fund (OUSG) CRE can enable various kinds of blockchain-enabled DvP workflows involving onchain or offchain payments, enabling tokenization platforms to access a larger pool of buyers
