Odaily Planet Daily News: Paul Atkins, the SEC chairman candidate nominated by US President Trump, disclosed before a Senate hearing on March 27th that he and his wife jointly hold at least $327 million in assets, mainly from his consulting firm Patomak Global Partners and family business Tamko Building Products. Atkins personally holds:
2.5-5 million US dollars: RWA tokenization platform Securitize call options
50000 to 100000 US dollars: Investment from fintech company Pontoro
If the nomination is approved, Atkins promises to divest Patomak's equity and Securitize options. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren has requested clarification on her relationship with cryptocurrency clients such as FTX, while Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis expects her to promote clarity in digital asset regulation.
