Marty's view here is in near polar opposition to my own. I haven't heard anyone articulate why the U.S. govt needs to own a store of value instead of the citizens, or how that helps us achieve a better union. I haven't heard anyone articulate how the U.S. will defease 36T in debt obligations with an asset that doesn't generate any cash flows without selling it by the TRILLIONS into the very same private market that funded our deficit by the TRILLIONS. I haven't heard anyone articulate why the state cannot introduce the most favorable laws and regulations for crypto to thrive without owning it outright themselves. As time goes by I feel more disparate in relation to mainstream Bitcoin talking points and feel a growing concern for its ability to retain many of its strengths as we drunkenly drift toward state capture.
