According to CoinDesk, although cryptocurrencies will benefit from the "Trump Effect" by the end of 2024, financing in the US AI sector will still be significantly ahead of the cryptocurrency industry in the first quarter of 2025. According to Pitchbook data, the first three months of 2025 saw approximately $861 million in US cryptocurrency venture capital, while the AI sector attracted nearly $20 billion in investment. A total of 795 transactions have been completed in the AI field, including a large financing of $15.3 billion for Databricks and $2 billion for Anthropic. Historical data shows that venture capital has always preferred AI over cryptocurrency, with AI financing increasing from $670 million in 2011 to $36 billion in 2020. In 2021, cryptocurrency financing briefly surpassed AI, but then AI financing quickly rebounded, exceeding $100 billion by 2024.
