What does MAGA even think the “period of transition” is? Whats the outcome state? DOGE hasn’t cut meaningful costs. The Republicans bailed on their budget plan. The trade war has so far had 0 economic ask, and no real defined goal. The decline in markets isn’t cutting rates. Cutting rates wouldn’t meaningfully impact the debt (at most 34B at a cost of 2T) So even if the market fully recovers, you’ve: 1) Changed nothing. 2) Lost out on the opportunity cost of growth. 3) Created worse trade relations. 4) Not lowered the debt or budget. So what is being achieved in this “transition”?
