Borrowing to live for today is a sure way to stay economically dependent and impoverished, which are things we must avoid at all costs. We have cut down the national debt, a milestone achievement for Jamaica, and now we have more money to spend on the things that will develop our country and afford you better lives, like your roads, your water, and your transportation infrastructure. We could not destroy the stability we have created, and the direction in which it is taking us, by borrowing and overspending. We would not mean our country any good. The goal of making Jamaican lives, better, knowing what our struggles have been like, has caused to always do what is right and in your best interest. And that’s what you do, when you lead with love, principle, care and a sincere desire to make people’s lives well and truly better.
