I supported the idea of DOGE before DOGE existed. And shaking up Washington is one of the things voters elected @realDonaldTrump to do. The reason President Trump won all 7 swing states is because of two interrelated/intertwined things IMO: 1) independent voters; and, 2) the left with so far left, they even offended center-left voters. Republicans need to be concerned with perception. Why? Because perception becomes reality on Election Day. As hard as it to imagine, less than one year from now, America will be in full midterm election mode. In 2026 there are 33 Senate seats up for grabs: 20 Republican seats and 13 Democrat seats. The math favors Democrats in 2026 similar to how it favored Republicans in 2024. Furthermore, the Republican Party holds a VERY NARROW majority in the House. They control 218 seats, while the Democrats hold 215 seats, with 2 vacancies (@mattgaetz and @michaelgwaltz, both Republicans from Florida). This very slim majority is the smallest since 1931. @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @elonmusk @DavidSacks @howardlutnick @BoHines @DonaldJTrumpJr @EricTrump and the entire administration needs to be concerned with the perception of execution.
