You may have seen that Pubic Citizen is suing the @realDonaldTrump administration on behalf of two grantees over the funding freeze at USAID (https://www.politico.com/news/2025/02/19/rubio-contempt-funding-freeze-00205030; https://avac.org/blog/nonprofits-sue-trump-administration/).
One of the plaintiffs, Journalism Development Network, is a Soros project, having received 4.4 million from the Open Society Foundations in 2023 alone (https://www.opensocietyfoundations.org/grants/past?filter_keyword=journalism+development). It has also received more than 6.5 million from State and USAID since 2020 (https://www.usaspending.gov/search/?hash=369702f17cf4be39c7d25a4924c956f9).
JDN is corporate name of the vehemently anti-Trump Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (they operate under the same EIN, 26-0898750, and the website listed on JDN’s 990 is http://www.occrp.org).
OCCRP reporting played a significant role in the impeachment of Trump over the “perfect” Ukraine phone call (https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/michael-shellenberger-usaid-fund/2025/02/06/id/1198050/).
