Just some random thoughts about airdrops:
Airdrops need to be gamified more in order to work. Including seasons, eg. S1, S2, S3, etc., is a step in the right direction.
But speaking from experience with angel/OTC deals those deals that give me the most "gamified"-rush is the ones with daily vesting (think Sablier counter, where your vesting is happening in real time, and if you wait 1 minute more you get more when you claim).
Let's say you are eligible for an airdrop of $20k, and there is a 100-day daily vesting. At the start this is equal to 200 per day, but depending on the market conditions it could be much more/less.
Not only this, but in order to qualify for the full airdrop you have to continue to use the product. This is probably easier said than done regarding the prevention of sybiling.
Kaito created a product that you really can't fake or "game". Could easily see they spin up something like this.
I am not sure how other protocols should solve this. I just know that what we see today doesn't work. Airdrops gets insta-dumped, because people see it as free money and their reasoning is that they can sell it to buy something they believe more in. Airdrops attract bots, dilute rewards, and fail to build strong communities.
Taking a look at recent airdrops shows that most just nuke. Instead, the teams need to continuously align incentives for mini-actions, and gamify the experience more. Or we simply need to stop airdropping at all.
