Wu said that according to Cryptonews, the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has obtained principle approval for an investment company license from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). This license will allow Gemini to provide regulated futures and options trading services to senior traders and institutions in the European Union and the European Economic Area, in accordance with the framework of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II).
