The Sandbox acquires QED and establishes Romanian branch

According to official sources, The Sandbox has officially acquired its long-term development partner, the Romanian studio QED, and established The Sandbox Romania. QED was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Timisoara. With a team of 17 people, it has become The Sandbox's 13th global office, with other locations including Hong Kong, Seoul, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and Paris. Sebastien Borget, Chief Operating Officer of The Sandbox, stated that the QED team possesses outstanding technical capabilities and will drive upgrades to future versions of the platform. Ioana Verebi, co-founder of QED, said that she looks forward to working with The Sandbox to create an innovative virtual world and promote the development of decentralization and blockchain technology.
