The Web3 decentralized science (DeSci) project OpenSci announced today that its official website and Galxe event are officially launched. In addition, OpenSci has launched the Galxe Quest campaign, where users have the opportunity to qualify for airdrops by completing tasks. The event will be held from 8:00 am on January 24th to 7:59 am on March 23rd Beijing time. It is reported that OpenSci is the first decentralized science platform that supports interdisciplinary tracks, providing research funding, literature databases, and resource sharing and aggregation services. The core mission of OpenSci is its innovative research donation model, where researchers can showcase their research projects on the platform and receive funding directly from the global community of supporters. This model not only fills the funding gap in scientific research, but also strengthens accountability mechanisms and openness, setting new standards for scientific funding and development. The advisory team of OpenSci DAO is composed of six top scientists from six different scientific fields, aiming to help users gain a deeper understanding of the value behind their research, thereby promoting the popularization and development of the scientific research ecosystem. OpenSci deeply recognizes that the cornerstone of scientific integrity lies in the reproducibility of research, and therefore actively encourages researchers to conduct repetitive research. By prioritizing the promotion of repetitive experiments, the platform enhances the reliability and effectiveness of scientific discoveries. It is worth mentioning that Nobel laureate in Chemistry Roger Kornberg has filmed a supporting video for OpenSci, highly recognizing the platform's assistance to young scientists. He pointed out that OpenSci can effectively increase the exposure of young researchers and create more research opportunities for them.
