Odaily Daily News: In a recent lawsuit filed by law firm Burwick Law against pump.fun, its main plaintiff was found to have lost $231 in the PNUT transaction. However, tracking the trader's address shows that he lost a total of $49535 in other transactions he made on pump.fun, indicating that he was still using the website after filing the lawsuit.
It is understood that pump.fun is led by 21-year-old CEO Noah Bernhard Hugo Tweedale, who co founded the platform with 21-year-old CTO Dylan Kerler and 23-year-old pseudonym COO Alon Cohen. The lawsuit lists these three individuals and Baton Corporation, the operator of pump.fun, as defendants.
According to online documents, Baton Corporation was established in March 2023, with its office located in a commercial park in Bury St Edmunds town.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of a group of PNUT buyers, but despite this, Kendall Carnahan, the investor leading the lawsuit, is the only designated plaintiff in this case.
The lawsuit also claims that pump.fun sold and provided PNUT as unregistered securities, but emphasizes that Baton Corporation was not accused of fraudulent intent. At the same time, it seeks a trial by jury and demands that the plaintiff receive an economic amount, which will be determined during the trial. (Protos)
