First off, I think Danny would do great in a number of ways - and is one of the best people to lead the EF. But the community doesn’t own the EF or even fund it - at the end of the day it’s Vitalik’s initial payment that keep the EF around. If the community wants an active voice in what the EF is, then it needs to be willing to fund it and do it right. Put a transaction tax or direct a portion of gas to the EF, have Danny lead the main part of the EF and technical teams, hire someone who knows how to manage a 100M treasury properly, hire a grants team that can invest in ecosystem projects that grow the space and not just give out random grants to non-crypto projects. But until we as a community pay for it, we don’t get to dictate what the EF is 🤷‍♂️ I’m willing to pay to see it reshaped - but I think most people want their cake and to eat it too!
