BTC2 is a forked currency of BTC (Bitcoin), which was generated in the New York Consensus in May 2017 and adopts the methods of SW (Isolated Witness) and 2M. Previously traded under the name BT2 on the exchange. The mining method of BTC2 has changed from ASIC mining to GPU mining, and the mining algorithm has been modified to completely eliminate ASIC's ProgPOW algorithm.
