In recent days, GPT inexplicably banned many accounts,
specifically manifesting as a direct login prompt stating "Your account has been deleted or deactivated (You do not have an account because it has been deleted or deactivated),"
and the reason for the ban is unclear. I wonder if it has anything to do with Cat Wu, the product lead for Claude Code and Cowork, announcing her departure from Anthropic to join OpenAI.
What I fear most is sudden bans; it’s very troublesome when an account I’ve used for three years gets banned out of the blue. All the interactions and memories I had are contained within it, and after a long-term relationship with an AI, it's all invaluable wealth, now completely lost.
Moreover, when encountering such incidents, apart from filing an appeal, one can only silently lament, and the success rate for appeals is extremely low.
I feel this is somewhat AI authoritarianism.
It’s like in real society, casually taking away our most precious things.
