😂Today I was sleeping all day, and in the evening I was in meetings and forgot that it was the date for the non-farm payroll announcement. Just mentioning it in the work, the non-farm data this time was pretty good, really quite good, the unemployment rate decreased from 4.2% to 4.1%, and the non-farm employment numbers also significantly exceeded both the preceding figures and expectations, increasing by a whole number, and wage growth also surpassed expectations. Overall, this still represents that the U.S. economy has strong resilience.
This is a good report, but as I often say, currently, good data in the labor market is bad data. Bad data becomes good data because it facilitates interest rate cuts. So, although this data shows that the U.S. economy has strong resilience, it also indicates that the Federal Reserve has more confidence to maintain high-interest rates for a longer time. In simple terms, the Fed is now more willing to raise interest rates.
However, the market doesn't seem particularly worried now, perhaps because the Democrats’ control of Congress will lead to a clear change in attitude towards Iran, and it is expected that the war with Iran can be ended quickly. At that time, good non-farm data will really mean good data. However, the Democrats will fully control Congress next year, so we will still have to see Iran's attitude going forward.
I bought Bitcoin yesterday at the bottom and am currently at a floating loss. I set a high sell order at $79,000 today. From the current perspective, the probability of being able to sell on Monday is not high, but I still believe that after Trump lost his position, the market will respond positively. Even in the AI industry, the Democrats will not strongly resist, and Bitcoin, which is highly correlated with tech stocks, shouldn't be too bad.
A @Gate, trading more markets
