A 27-year-old woman was attacked and killed by wild dogs at Hong Kong's Yuen Long Station, mourning.

Here are some tips for avoiding wild dog attacks:

1. Never run away from the dog with your back towards it; this will provoke aggression and cause it to chase you relentlessly.

2. Stand facing the dog in a defensive stance, appearing fierce—dogs are very observant of humans; if you show fear, they will become aggressive. Even a single dog will be scared if you pretend to pick up a stone.

3. Use any available object for protection, like a bicycle, umbrella, etc., to push it away and maintain distance, then back away slowly while calling for help.

4. At the same time, look for any stick-like objects to prepare for potential use.

5. If you cannot obstruct them, you must summon the courage to fight back, transforming into a fearsome upright primate, and strike the dog’s head vigorously—aiming at the body is less effective.

If you can strike the head, most dogs will become fearful and scatter.

Many years ago, when visiting relatives in the deep mountains where each household had four or five dogs, dog bite incidents occurred frequently. My uncle taught me this method; when faced with dozens of charging dogs, a vigorous strike combined with villagers coming to support allowed me to escape safely—never show cowardice when courage is most needed; it can be very dangerous.
