In July, I bought a pocket of $ZEC and today I discovered that $NEAR has this relationship with ZEC, they tend to rise and fall together, and the growth of NEAR's TVL is directly related to ZEC!🧐

Today I spent some time researching NEAR's current positioning, let me briefly explain. First, we need to discard the old notion that "NEAR is just an ordinary L1"!

To put it simply: ZEC is responsible for keeping your “money” private, while NEAR takes care of keeping your “business and entire on-chain life” private.

If ZEC is a highly secure “private vault” in the on-chain world, then NEAR is a high-privacy, smooth cross-chain commercial highway and smart operating system wrapped around this vault.

1️⃣ What exactly is $NEAR doing?

Before I seriously researched, I might have had the same notion as everyone else, just simply thinking that NEAR was riding the wave of AI and privacy. However, that's not the case. What NEAR is building is an "operating system for autonomous AI intelligences."

By 2026, on-chain interaction will shift from "manual trading on DEX, doing Yield" to "AI intelligences running strategies for you around the clock in the background." What NEAR aims to do is provide a fast, inexpensive, and highly private underlying operating environment for these AI intelligences.

We can break down NEAR's core capabilities into four main segments:

· Intelligence (Private AI Inference): Utilizing TEE for confidential computing. In simple terms, it allows AI to run strategies and models for you in a "black box" where your data and business secrets are not leaked to any third party.

· Agency (Autonomous Agent): Supporting agents with short and long-term memory, able to autonomously call on on-chain tools and identity credentials, allowing them to execute tasks fully automatically in isolated environments (like IronClaw).

· Economy (Cross-chain Settlement and Intents): Achieving cross-chain payments, cross-chain DEX deep aggregation, and adaptive settlement through the AI-driven NEAR Intents mechanism. The user or AI Agent just needs to input the "final demand," and the backend routing network will automatically complete the fastest cross-chain path performance.

· Privacy (Native Embedded Tech Stack): Privacy is no longer merely an overlay on a particular token, but the underlying color of the entire tech stack, from private GPU computing markets, multi-modal AI Clouds, to asset custody within private shards, the entire process encapsulates privacy at the foundational level.

2️⃣ NEAR and ZEC: A strong complementary pair!

Recently, there have been many voices in the market attributing the rise of ZEC to some short-term benefits from regulatory perspectives (such as the SEC), but this interpretation deviates from the essence of technology and business. The combination of NEAR and ZEC is not for hyping concepts but is rather a hard-core technical and ecological complement.

The role of ZEC: A privacy-centric BTC, ZEC focuses on ensuring the privacy of funds and transactions themselves (hiding transaction amounts, masking addresses). It is a highly scarce on-chain native privacy value storage asset.

The role of NEAR: ZEC's privacy channel and business extension. Holding a masked address for ZEC means your funds are secure, but as long as you participate in on-chain business activities with ZEC (such as cross-chain DeFi, going to Hyperliquid to open perpetual contracts, or authorizing funds for AI Agents), your behavioral trajectory is still easy to expose.

NEAR fills this gap:

Through NEAR's private shards and cross-chain Intents track, ZEC obtains a secret traffic access point and liquidity entry towards the entire on-chain ecosystem.

Payments: When transferring, your other assets and historical activities on the main chain are no longer exposed.

Transactions: Buying and selling assets in decentralized markets, the order and trading intentions cannot be tracked by MEV or public ledgers.

Derivatives: When trading Hyperliquid perpetual contracts, position and leverage data are difficult to establish direct correlation with your main wallet.

So to put it in one sentence, ZEC keeps your asset confidentiality, while NEAR keeps your entire business behavior confidential. As the scale of ZEC held and circulated within NEAR's private shards grows, the TVL of NEAR Intents and the captured value will also rise, forming a bidirectional empowerment, which is why they rise and fall together.

Today I quietly bought some $NEAR at a higher price. I am optimistic about it mainly for the following three reasons:

First, the "infrastructure reconstruction" of the AI Agent era, NEAR does not try to compete in decentralized computing training, as that is not the strength of a public chain and has already been disproven in 2024. Instead, it focuses on value settlement for AI Agents, private inference, and tool invocation. It is a blockchain operating system with native AI infrastructure capabilities.

Secondly, the strongest landing product of chain abstraction, NEAR Intents is completely flattening the complexity of multi-chain interaction. Users and AI intelligences no longer need to know how to traverse cross-chain bridges between ETH, Solana, and ZEC, they just send intents on the NEAR side, and the solver can clear on their behalf.

Lastly, the narrative upgrade and cash flow accumulation, shifting from being merely a "high TPS public chain" to a "privacy + AI + cross-chain intent hub," the ecological boundaries of NEAR have been vastly expanded. As the private GPU market, AI Cloud, and confidential DeFi within the ecosystem are operationalized, the actual network Gas consumption and captured value of NEAR tokens will no longer be limited to the NEAR single chain itself, but will come from the entire on-chain intelligent agency economic network.

The combination of the above three elements will have enormous imaginative potential. Currently, at $3.5, it still belongs to the bottom range. In the early stages of a bull market, it's better to buy in at a higher price than to miss out!🧐 DYOR!
