CoinEx is shutting down after nine years, citing shrinking revenue and rising compliance costs.

Its exit comes as trading activity concentrates at the top: Binance, OKX, MEXC, Bybit and Gate handled about 88% of volume across CoinMarketCap’s August exchange cohort.
