Selfishly, I hope the Fed raises rates tomorrow.
Why?
Because the market is priced to handle it.
In fact, my expectation is that this bull market would be perfectly sustainable even if the Fed raised 2-3 times over the next 6-12 months.
And if that's the case, which I expect, then it's yet another bearish narrative that failed. And that would only cement the strength of this bull market even more.
If a pullback comes as a result of this hike, taking any "froth" out, then it would merely represent another fantastic opportunity to buy more stocks in areas of strength.
What will those areas of strength be?
I don't know.
No one does.
But the ideal situation would be strength in mega caps, tech, software, financials, and industrials.
I've been saying it for awhile now anyways...
The market is ALREADY priced for a hike.
The bond market is doing the Fed's job.
Yes, risk assets have cooled down, mostly.
But that's what bull markets do...
You thought bull markets go straight up?
In perpetuity?
That's juvenile.
Bull markets produce higher highs & higher lows.
You can't forego half the process.
My best tip for you...
Enjoy the ride.
Find ways to be calm in the chaos.
Build plans for multiple scenarios.
And prepare mentally to act in those scenarios.
