Old Hu will say a few words about MEME on Binance. If he says something wrong, everyone can criticize.

Recently, some netizens asked Old Hu to take a look at MEME coins on Binance. Old Hu doesn’t trade coins, but after looking at the data over the years, there are some things he can’t help but say.

First, let’s talk about the facts. The quota for MEME in Binance’s spot market has always been limited. In the first half of 2024, two coins were launched: BOME and WIF, one at 4.5 billion dollars, the other at 960 million. In the second half, NEIRO, ACT, and PNUT were released, all exceeding 1 billion. What do these numbers indicate? They show that as long as you choose correctly, the market will respond favorably.

The problem arose in 2025. In a bear market, Binance introduced a batch of tokens like White Cloth, Broccoli, and Test Coin. Objectively speaking, the upper limits of these coins were all around 100 million and basically did not succeed. Why? Old Hu’s view is that it’s not that the market is lacking, but Binance did not understand what MEME is.

There is a type of project that I have noticed has a common characteristic: when those holding chips speak a few words of “His Majesty is wise” in the community, the management becomes dazed, thinking they have received support. What I want to say is that the true主体 of the community is the silent majority, who do not speak, only vote with their feet. To take a few people shouting slogans as the public opinion is incorrect. The real result is that this batch of projects, in turn, consumed Binance's own credibility. This is worth serious reflection for Binance's friends.

In 2025, there was also a project called GIGGLE, which took the charitable route. Old Hu does not oppose charity, but has always had a judgment that MEME and the charitable temperament do not match. As a result, the upper limit of 260 million is even lower than the previous batch. The facts proved this judgment.

By 2026, the situation changed. Binance’s new coin, Old Hu acknowledges, is similar to that previous batch, but it has something others do not: it is the first Chinese coin, which identifies with all of Binance, not just a certain person or faction within Binance. This distinction is significant. Thus, it surged to 800 million, and Old Hu believes this is quite successful.

At this point, Old Hu wants to emphasize that the above is his analysis of the matter itself, not an insult to anyone. Don’t overinterpret.

Let’s discuss a more fundamental truth. The essence of MEME is consensus, dissemination, and narrative. These three elements represent its intrinsic value. Some people rely on pleasing dissemination, while others rely on controversial dissemination. Personally, Old Hu does not appreciate it, but objectively speaking, this is also dissemination; it cannot be denied that it has worked just because one does not like it.

Now in 2026, MARSCOIN and Niulai have been newly launched, and Old Hu believes these two can first be watched at 1 billion. If I must choose one among the two, I would choose Niulai. The reason is simple: the three characters of Niulai are easily understood by Chinese people without explanation, and the mainstream media at home and abroad have also reported on it, making the cost of dissemination almost zero. Mars still has to tell the story first.

All of Old Hu’s judgments could be completely wrong. He is not afraid to admit that.

Finally, Old Hu wants to share a heartfelt thought. The choices in the market now are one side following those who speak well, and the other side being believers laughed at by others. Old Hu does not use harsh words, but if he has to choose, he would prefer to be the believer. Whether it’s牛 or not, let the bullets fly for a while.

If Hu Xijin talked about MEME
