GPT-6 Astra has arrived!

It may be more significant than the upgrade from GPT-4 to GPT-5. This is because OpenAI is trying to push AI from a "model that answers questions" to an "agent capable of independently completing complex tasks in the real world".

A crucial step towards becoming a capable agent!

I think we can simply understand the past few generations of AI as:

GPT-3: Can write

↓

GPT-4: Can understand and reason

↓

GPT-5.x: Can think deeply + use tools

↓

GPT-6 Astra: Begins to truly "work + conduct independent research".

So the greatest highlights and milestones of GPT-6 are, in my opinion:

① ARC-AGI-3 7.8% → 99.9%: A massive leap in abstract reasoning ability for unknown tasks.

② AI starts to participate in generating genuine new mathematical results: Transitioning from "knowledge consumers" to "knowledge producers".

③ Computer Use + Agent capabilities mature: Moving from "answering your questions" to "completing tasks for you".
