Odaily Planet Daily reported that Sun Yuchen recently launched multiple real-name complaints against self-media that criticized him. He filed complaints against several self-media accounts, including Lu Kewen Studio and "Luo Serious," citing "defamation/brand damage/privacy/image" as reasons. The complaint materials requested the platforms to deal with articles that used qualitative expressions like "cutting leeks," which reinforced negative personas, and claimed that he had entrusted lawyers to collect evidence. Odaily Planet Daily reported that on September 1, thousands of X users reported receiving password reset emails not initiated by themselves, including several accounts in the crypto industry and some media practitioners. Some users received up to 10 related emails within a few hours. Crypto investor Nic Carter stated that a large number of users are receiving X password reset requests, suggesting enabling X's "Password Reset Protect" feature. Crypto user cap.eth mentioned that even with two-factor authentication enabled, there are still attempts to reset their password. Currently, there is no evidence that the X platform’s system has been compromised or that there has been a large-scale account takeover. X's security mechanism allows attackers to initiate a password reset request using only public usernames, after which X sends a reset email to the linked email address, so receiving an email does not mean the user's email address has been leaked. X has not publicly responded to these abnormal password reset requests or confirmed the existence of coordinated attack activities or security events. Industry insiders recommend users check their account security settings and enable password reset protection features.
Odaily Planet Daily reported that crypto trader BonkGuy reflected on his past Meme coin trading experiences, stating that in 2023, he had traded BONK with a $16,000 principal through 6x leverage, ultimately managing a position of over $20 million; later, he turned a $6,000 WIF position into about $1.4 million, earning millions through Meme coins like Fartcoin, POPCAT, and PNUT multiple times.
However, BonkGuy stated that most of the profits from the aforementioned trades were ultimately lost in the "10/10" market.

Odaily Planet Daily reported that U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen recently urged Japan to raise interest rates to curb the continuous depreciation of the yen. Analysts believe that this highlights how traditional monetary policies are susceptible to government and external factors. In contrast, Bitcoin's monetary policy is predetermined by code, with new coin issuance following a fixed rhythm that approximately halves every four years, making it more predictable. Bitcoin still finds it difficult to escape the shocks of traditional financial markets in the short term. If Japan's interest rate hikes lead to a rapid appreciation of the yen, long-accumulated low-interest yen financing positions may be closed out, subsequently triggering sell-offs in stocks, bonds, and crypto assets. In August 2024, a rate hike by the Bank of Japan had led to a stronger yen, putting pressure on risk assets including Bitcoin. Technically, Bitcoin's 50-day moving average continues to rise and is close to crossing above the 200-day moving average, potentially forming a "golden cross." Analysts believe that moving averages have a lagging nature, and the historical predictive effect of golden crosses as independent indicators is unstable.
Odaily Planet Daily reported that 21 international financial institutions announced plans to establish a new company in the second half of 2026 to promote the issuance of stablecoins, with the specific name to be announced later. The company will initially focus on U.S. dollar-denominated stablecoins, with future plans to expand to more G7 currencies, prioritizing euro stablecoins. Participating institutions include Bank of America, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Wells Fargo, BBVA, Santander, and MUFG Bank. This stablecoin plan targets wholesale, institutional, and retail markets, applicable to cross-border payments, digital asset settlement, and other scenarios. The group stated that the stablecoin scheme will combine bank-grade compliance, governance, and institutional risk management capabilities, and plans to comply with relevant regulatory requirements such as the U.S. GENIUS Act and the EU MiCA, aiming to launch stablecoin products in the first half of 2027.
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Bitcoin has reappeared with a "kimchi premium" in the Korean market. On September 1, Bitcoin's price in Korean won on Upbit, Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange, was about 1% higher than the price in USD on Binance, and this premium has lasted a week, the longest continuous period since early May.
Bitcoin's price in early September was about $79,000, having briefly surpassed $80,000 in August. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a net inflow of about $1.92 billion in the week of August 17, the highest single-week inflow in 10 months; by the end of August, an additional inflow of $923 million was recorded.
Upbit data shows that Bitcoin had mainly a discount on the Korean market compared to international prices for most of this summer, with a discount reaching 3.1% in early June, and an average discount of 0.25% in August. 10x Research notes that while the Korean premium has turned positive, trading volumes in spot markets have not increased correspondingly. This part totals 400 million ASTER, accounting for 5% of the maximum supply, which was originally planned to unlock 10 million per month starting from September 17 of this year.

Odaily Planet Daily reported that according to Paddy-earthling’s monitoring, Injective reportedly paused for about 4 hours due to a binary options vulnerability, where an attacker exploited a previously disabled but still registered oracle, Frontrunner, to steal about $4.9 million. The oracle’s data source had long been emptied, but the attacker created 299 markets pointing to the oracle, and due to a failure to obtain prices, triggered a "no-price refund" mechanism, exploiting the vulnerability to obtain approximately double compensation, converting USDC into about 1,980 ETH, worth approximately $4.9 million. Currently, the relevant assets are stored in an Ethereum wallet that has never made any transactions. Paddy-earthling pointed out that after the attack, Injective's official account continued to post marketing content as usual, without mentioning the chain had paused.
Injective: No on-chain attack occurred, INJ and user funds remained secure during the upgrade
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Injective's official statement said that yesterday's network upgrade took longer than expected, but throughout the process, the Injective blockchain and INJ assets remained secure, with the protocol and consensus mechanism not being compromised and user and staking funds unaffected.
This upgrade was due to a small number of ecological applications' binary options markets being exploited; the attack was limited to the applications involved and did not touch the Injective chain itself. During the upgrade, some validators were momentarily suspended from validation due to not completing the upgrade in time, leading to a temporary decrease in network staking volume, and some exchanges also suspended deposits and withdrawals to update nodes.
Injective stated that the relevant attack vectors have been resolved, and stricter constraints, real-time monitoring, and security mechanisms will be introduced in the future.

If the attacker complies, the project party promises not to file civil lawsuits against them.

Odaily Planet Daily reported that Russia's digital assets law took effect on September 1, 2026, legalizing regulated cryptocurrency trading nationwide. Retail investors have an annual limit of 300,000 rubles, approximately $3,700, when purchasing cryptocurrencies through a single licensed intermediary.
The Bank of Russia is responsible for regulating licensed cryptocurrency intermediaries. Exchanges, brokers, and custodians must register as licensed intermediaries and join self-regulatory organizations in the financial market before they can legally provide services to customers.
The Bank of Russia will also determine which digital assets licensed intermediaries can offer. Professional investors are not subject to the annual limit of 300,000 rubles, and the ban on using digital assets for purchasing goods and services domestically remains in effect.
From September 1, enterprises engaged in foreign economic activities are allowed to use cryptocurrency for payment in international trade for goods, engineering, or services. The complete licensing and compliance requirements are expected to be implemented by July 1, 2027. (Bitcoin.com News)
Thailand SEC proposes allowing retail participation in regulated overseas crypto derivatives trading
Odaily Planet Daily reported that the Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposed to allow intermediaries to provide certain overseas digital asset derivatives trading services to retail investors. The related products need to be similar to the crypto derivatives traded within Thailand, covering underlying assets, expiration dates, leverage levels, and settlement methods.
The proposed products must also be traded on exchanges that employ central counterparty clearing mechanisms, and such exchanges should be subject to designated international regulatory or trading organization supervision. The Thailand SEC has officially listed cryptocurrency and digital tokens as permissible derivatives since March 5 and is discussing contract details with the Thailand Futures Exchange.
Overseas crypto derivatives that do not meet the proposed conditions may only be offered to institutional investors. The consultation period will continue until September 30, and the Thailand SEC has not yet announced the implementation date for the amendments. (Cointelegraph)
Odaily Planet Daily reported that the Vietnamese government issued a resolution in September 2025 to launch a national pilot framework for crypto assets. The framework requires that crypto assets issued domestically be backed by real-world assets, excluding securities and fiat currencies, and initially targeted only at foreign investors.
Boston Consulting Group predicts that the global market for tokenized real-world assets could exceed $14 trillion by 2030. The Vietnam National Securities Commission stated that five companies have passed preliminary assessments for setting up exchanges, and final approval must meet four-level information system security standards and maintain approximately $383 million in registered capital.
On July 16, the Vietnamese government issued a decree imposing fines of approximately $1,150 to $1,918 for violations in the crypto asset market, which will take effect on September 1. Domestic investors will not be immediately penalized for trading through unlicensed platforms; however, the requirement to trade only through licensed institutions will take effect six months after the Ministry of Finance issues the first exchange license. Eric Trump: Holds a large amount of Bitcoin to hedge against inflation and economic instability
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Eric Trump stated he holds a large amount of Bitcoin, using it as a macro hedge against inflation and economic instability, and believes Bitcoin is the best complement to physical assets.
Odaily Planet Daily reported that both JPMorgan and Castle Securities issued short-term warnings, advising investors to remain cautious ahead of the upcoming period of dense macro data releases and Federal Reserve policy meetings, and to utilize the currently low options prices to strengthen downside risk hedging.
After Federal Reserve Chairman Waller emitted clear signals in a well-watched speech on August 28, emphasizing that there has not been a substantial slowdown in U.S. inflation, JPMorgan's U.S. market intelligence chief Andrew Tyler led the trading team to decide to abandon their bullish stance before the Federal Reserve's policy decision on September 16. Although they anticipate that economic data and corporate earnings will continue to provide support, they have downgraded their perspective on U.S. stocks to a tactical cautious stance.
Castle Securities’ stock and stock derivatives strategy chief Scott Rubner noted that, since 2019, their tracked retail investors' buying activity in September has been the weakest of the year. On trading days when the S&P 500 index is down, the average net buying amount by retail investors is only about half of normal levels. (Bloomberg)
CZ responds to $4.3 billion fine: took responsibility for the industry, worth it
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) stated that most of the initial draft of his 374-page autobiography “Binance Life” was completed in prison, using the computer for only 15 minutes each time and unable to copy and paste, having to write in fragmented time while waiting for devices.
He recalled that in November 2023, Binance paid a $4.3 billion fine for violating the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act, with personal fines of $150 million and resigning as CEO. He indicated that had he not taken on such responsibilities, Binance and the entire industry might have faced greater impacts, deeming such a choice "worth it."
Changpeng Zhao stated that the most torturous aspect during his imprisonment was uncertainty, where the fine amount and sentencing duration had changed, and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued three detention orders. He believes this experience has made him realize that freedom is not absolute, but his belief in “financial freedom” has become more steadfast. (HK01)
Tom Lee: Bitcoin still expected to reach $150,000, institutional investors are positioning for Q4
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Tom Lee stated during a CNBC program that due to the low number of cryptocurrency holders, Bitcoin could still rise to six figures; if the Federal Reserve raises interest rates but long-term yields decline, this could effectively constitute monetary easing; he believes the recent cryptocurrency market performance is the first phase of an uptrend, and the trading volume of cryptocurrency stocks shows that institutional investors are positioning for the fourth quarter.
