From Uniswap to GMGN, and then to FOMO
The evolution of DEX has a very clear logic.
1/
If we compare on-chain trading to shopping, then Uniswap is most like an open mall where anyone can enter and set up shop.
In this market, merchants, or LPs, are responsible for providing goods, while users are responsible for buying and selling.
Therefore, the core value of Uniswap is not complicated:
▌Providing a public and transparent trading space
▌Allowing trading to take place
2/
GMGN is more like a Yelp for the blockchain.
Its core value is not providing the transaction itself, but helping you judge:
▌What is selling the fastest recently
▌Which large buyers are purchasing goods
▌Which buyers have better insight
▌Whether you should place an order with a certain address
What GMGN does is take the dispersed trading data on-chain and reorganize it into more consumable information tags: smart money, KOLs, whales…
With added features like wallet profit and loss analysis, real-time alerts, and copy trading, users can not only see the market but start to "understand the market."
It doesn't sell liquidity; it sells information advantage.
3/
Taking another step forward is FOMO.
FOMO is more like a Xiaohongshu on-chain, or a type of social e-commerce trading entry.
It emphasizes another more consumer-oriented experience:
▌Discovering opportunities through content
▌Stimulating trading desire through a social atmosphere
▌Minimizing barriers to use
▌Hiding complex steps such as wallets, routing, cross-chain bridges, and payments in the background
▌Making trading as natural as scrolling through content
FOMO doesn't produce goods, nor is it the market itself.
This is the main line of DEX evolution: value continuously flows from underlying liquidity to information organization, attention distribution, and user entry.

The same logic is repeating in the Perps track.
http://trade.xyz is a very typical example.
If we continue with the previous metaphor, it resembles a financial department store with product selection, floor planning, and operating rules.
It has several very typical marketplace functions:
Product selection, determining which stocks, indices, commodities, or foreign exchange markets to list.
Product standardization, packaging different categories of assets into similar perpetual contract products.
Pricing, the platform must handle more complex issues for off-chain assets like stocks, commodities, and foreign exchange.
Unified display, allowing users to switch from crypto assets to stocks, indices, commodities, and foreign exchange in the same interface.
But that's not enough.
5/
If http://trade.xyz is still a marketplace logic.
Then @midasmarketsxyz has entered the "trading system logic."
The difference between the two is:
▌http://trade.xyz cares about what you can trade
▌Midas cares about why you trade, how your position changes, and whether you can execute actions immediately
Midas is not "another prettier front end" but merges several originally dispersed actions, namely information gathering, position understanding, cross-chain scheduling, and trade execution into a unified workflow.
Traditional on-chain contract trading usually proceeds as follows:
Discover news on social media → News sites confirm events → Chart tools analyze prices → Wallet checks funds → Cross-chain bridge transfers assets → Execute trade
This is a long chain.
What Midas aims to do is compress it into a closed loop:
Discover market changes through news/opinion section → Midas AI understands the impact of this event → Generate direction, entry, target, stop loss, and rationale → Direct execution after user confirmation → Continuously manage position in Portfolio

From this perspective, the evolution of on-chain trading products is actually becoming clearer.
Underlying liquidity will increasingly resemble utilities like water and power, and what truly determines where users stay will no longer be just whether they can trade, but:
What you see first
How you understand the market
Whether you can quickly convert recognition into action
