Zhihong has left this world, without a word, I suddenly feel nostalgic.

The first time I met Zhihong was in 2016, when I was still starting my own business, and Zhihong was also at the Wangjing 768 Entrepreneur Park in Beijing. At that time, Zhihong was already a famous storyteller in the Snowball community, calling himself an 80s dad. It's hard to believe that a decade has passed since then.

On a certain Snowball night, the host referred to Zhihong as a Snowball comedian. When asked if his success was due to luck, Zhihong replied:

“Luck is a core competency.”

Indeed, people who love to laugh usually have good luck.

Zhihong loved to laugh, and his laughter is still vivid in my memory. Like the old playful child Zhou Botong from Jin Yong's novels, you wouldn't see him before hearing his voice. His laugh is so distinctive; whenever Zhihong was at a gathering, anyone present would be infected by his laughter.

Yes, we have lost another lovely friend like Zhou Botong.

The so-called old playful child is not someone who is naive to the ways of the world, but rather someone who, after seeing the ways of the world, still maintains innocence.

The higher the skill level, the lower the pretense; the broader the experience, the more sincere the interactions.

Obsessed with martial arts, not chasing fame and fortune; being in the Jianghu, yet not tainted by it.

Using a childlike heart to make friends, viewing life like a child, casually breaking free from constraints.

After experiencing turmoil, still smiling innocently, living freely, and treating people sincerely, bringing joy to those around him that hasn’t been dulled by worldly affairs.

I remember Zhihong once gave a young person their first job opportunity in Beijing. Before leaving, he even offered to pay an extra month's salary, hoping that the other person could live a bit better in Beijing, and said they could consider him a brother and come to him whenever they needed help.

Zhihong was both a good teacher and a valuable friend, always sincere in long conversations, never withholding what he knew and learned. A friend remembers that just a few months ago, they stood together in front of a Buddha statue discussing the Flower Adornment Sutra, still full of spirit and talent.

Every time I chatted with Zhihong, it felt like sparring with Zhou Botong. We would start talking about stocks, and in an instant we would be discussing Buddhist scriptures, and then suddenly, it would switch to Dogecoin and AI. You never knew where his ideas came from, only feeling that his thoughts were flying in all directions, left brain and right brain wrestling, as he struck again.

By the time you came to your senses, the ideas were already flowing.

Indeed, ideas were flowing easily.

These four words perfectly describe Zhihong.

In 2019, Zhihong initiated one of the earliest Dogecoin communities in China. At that time, Dogecoin had not yet become the global sensation it later turned into.

I asked him, “Why Dogecoin?”

Zhihong replied, “Because dogs are the most interesting!”

Later, Zhihong really organized a Dogecoin consensus conference, perhaps the most interesting Dogecoin gathering to date.

Dogecoin was born out of jokes and internet culture, lacking a grand white paper, yet it cultivated a loose, egalitarian, and strong cultural identity, which was very much Zhihong.

Later, tides rose and fell, and the industry changed.

Zhihong started writing articles for his public account "All Air."

He was still the same Zhihong, still so full of ideas. He was like the child who exposed the emperor's new clothes—no, he was not a child; he was an old playful child.

Of course, he knew that after the tide receded, those who remained were the ones swimming naked.

But he didn't say it outright; he just smiled and said: Crypto “is a mirror reflecting the real world.”

Still joking, still candid, still untainted by worldly affairs.

Later on, Zhihong began organizing city gatherings for "All Air." From Hong Kong and Singapore to Beijing and Dubai, the city gatherings progressed to their sixteenth stop. Wherever he went, he always brought two iconic green balloons that read:

All Air.

Since it’s all air, let’s bring the joyful air to one city after another!

Since it’s all air, then the genuine encounters that happen between people are likely the shapes that Zhihong left behind in the air.

Zhihong was someone who walked into the Jianghu without becoming part of it, yet the friends in the Jianghu all miss him.

Zhihong was someone who called himself an 80s dad as early as 2013, and he would take his son to industry dinners as a father.

He was a friend of mine who, during my life's low point, wrote an article titled “Who is BMAN?” and I can cherish those memories.

Zhihong was a comedian investor, a future idea maker, and it was his numerous gatherings that turned strangers into friends. Zhihong had no enemies in the industry, only friends.

While the world is busy judging what has value, Zhihong was always able to find joy, trust, and consensus in places others thought were “all air.”

The old playful child has left, but the Jianghu remains.

It’s just that from now on, gatherings will be missing a laughter that you hear before you see the person, and the presence of a wise friend who saw through worldly affairs yet remained unaffected by them.

The last sentence Zhihong left on Twitter was: “Friends, see you at the beach.”

Zhihong believed in Buddhism and liked the Heart Sutra; perhaps he already understood that all is air, not complete nothingness, but that old friends are gone, yet the connections still exist; he has left this world, yet the laughter still remains.

“Because there is nothing to obtain, Bodhisattva relies on the perfection of prajnaparamita, so the heart is without obstruction. Without obstruction, there is no fear, far away from inverted dreams, ultimately nirvana.”

Brother Zhihong, safe travels, heart without obstruction.
