The little partner should not have looked carefully; I have already answered in the text.
This large life insurance policy will use an interest-only payment method while I am still alive, and the loan principal will not be repaid. After I pass away, the remaining loan principal will be repaid by the death benefit, and the remaining funds will be given to the beneficiaries.
So, this loan only pays interest; even if the Swiss franc appreciates back to its historical peak, the annual interest will only increase from about $6,200 to around $7,100. This small increase is not a problem for me, and even if it returns to its historical high, it cannot be maintained for too long.
As for the final principal settlement, I am even less worried. Based on the historical highest exchange rate, the loan equivalent to $620,000 would increase to about $707,000. Compared to now, the final additional principal deducted would be about $87,000, which will be settled together when the death benefit is paid.
Compared to my death benefit, this part of the cost is negligible, and for this reason, I am completely unconcerned about the exchange rate issue.
