Talented individuals without virtue are the most deadly.
What is virtue?
Knowing gratitude, understanding moderation
Knowing not to harm or deceive others
But these are actually just the basics; true virtue is hard to teach and is closely related to a person's environment during their growth.
True virtue also includes:
Not betraying principles for personal gain, not bullying the weak because of one's strength, and not indulging oneself when no one is watching.
When one has ability, resources, and choices, one still understands the need to restrain desires, respect others, and take responsibility;
Virtue is not just "I do not do evil," but also "I am willing to do good"; it is not just about maintaining a baseline, but being reliable at critical moments, resisting temptation, and retaining goodwill even when one has power.
Talent determines how fast a person can go, but virtue determines where they will ultimately go.
The more talented one is, the more virtue one must have; otherwise, the greater the ability, the greater the potential harm it can cause.
Of course, a talented woman without virtue is not just a disaster for her husband, but also a tremendous and complete disaster for the family.
